The Detroit Red Wings (24-17-5) defeated the Tmapa Bay Lightning (24-18-5) 2-1 on Saturday night in Detroit. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for Tampa Bay.
Victor Hedman scored the first goal of the game in the first period - that would prove to be the only goal of the night for Tampa Bay. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 33-of-35 in net in the losing effort.
The Lightning now head to Philadelphia to play the Flyers on Tuesday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Flyers is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Tuesday night.
