The Tampa Bay Lightning (15-13-5) defeated the St. Louis Blues (15-15-1) 6-1 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena. The Lightning have now won two of their last three.
The Lightning took control of this game early, building a 3-0 lead in the first period, a 5-0 lead in the second before leading 6-0 in the third. Nikita Kucherov scored two goals - he now leads the NHL with 54 points and is third in the NHL with 22 goals.
Steven Stamkos and Nick Paul both had three points on the night - Stamkos had three assists, while Paul had a goal and two assists. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 28-for-29 in net in the winning effort.
The Lightning remain at home and will host the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Golden Knights is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday night at Amalie Arena.
