The Tampa Bay Lightning dropped two late games as they went to Colorado and then Arizona on back-to-back nights, and fell in both contests.
On Monday night the Avalanche defeated the Lightning 4-1. Anthony Cirelli scored the lone goal for Tampa Bay as he hit a wristshot into the net at the 19:29 mark of the second period.
The next the Lightning were in Arizona and fell to the Coyotes 3-1. Brayden Point scored in the second period to give the Bolts their only goal in that contest.
The Lightning now return to Amalie Arena where they will host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night. Puck drop on Thursday is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
