The Tampa Bay Lightning (40-22-6) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (44-17-6) 4-1 on Tuesday evening in Newark, New Jersey.
New Jersey took a 1-0 lead early in the first and appeared to take a 2-0 lead on a goal that was eventually called back for goaltender interference. Anthony Cirelli scored shorthanded at the 16:17 mark of the first to tie the game 1-1.
The Bolts got goals from Brandon Hagel, Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov in the second period to take control of the game. Hagel also had two assists for a three-point effort to help key the victory.
The Lightning remain in New Jersey to play the Devils for the second consecutive game on Thursday night. Puck drop from Newark on Thursday is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
