The Tampa Bay Lightning (24-11-1) defeated the Chicago Blackhawks (8-25-4) 4-1 on Tuesday evening in Chicago. The win is the fourth consecutive victory for Tampa Bay.
Seth Jones scored on a power play early in the first to give Chicago their only lead of a game. Pat Maroon scored at the 11:24 mark to make it 1-1, which would go the score heading into the third.
In the third the Lightning erupted for three goals. Alex Killorn, Brandon Hagel and NIck Paul each scored - Hagel also registered an assist to help lead the team to the victory.
Brian Elliott got the start in net in the first game of a back-to-back. He picked up the victory thanks to 25 saves on 26 shots against.
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday when they go to Minnesota to play the Wild. Puck drop from St. Paul, Minnesota, is scheduled for 9:30 PM.
