The Detroit Red Wings (13-7-5) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (15-9-1) 4-2 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena.
The Lightning fell behind 2-0 in the third period before Steven Stamkos scored to make it 2-1. After former Bolt Adam Erne scored to make it 3-1, Brayden Point answered with a goal to pull within 3-2.
That would be as close as the Lightning would get, as Ville Husso made 44 saves - 28 of them in the third period - to clinch the win. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 22-for-24 in net in the loss.
The Lightning return to action on Thursday night when they host the Nashville Predators. Puck drop from Amalie Arena on Thursday is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
