The Tampa Bay Lightning (12-7-1) defeated the St. Louis Blues (10-10-0) 5-2 on Friday night at Amalie Arena.
Brayden Point scored two first period goals to help Tampa Bay take an early 3-0 lead. After St. Louis pulled within 3-2 midway through the second, Tampa Bay answered with a goal from Brandon Hagel later in the second, and Nick Paul in the third to make the final score 5-2.
Andrei Vasilevskiy went 25-for-27 in net to get the win for Tampa Bay.
The Lightning now go on the road for the next three games which begins on Monday night against the Sabres in Buffalo. Puck drop between the Lightning and Sabres is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Monday night.
