According to TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger, the Tampa Bay Lightning and free agent Nick Paul are close to an agreement on a multi-year contract.
The fourth round selection by the Dallas Stars in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft was productive for the Lightning in 21 games during the regular season after being dealt to Tampa Bay by the Ottawa Senators. Paul's post season production including 9 points in 23 games played which ranked seventh on the team including key goals during the Rangers and Panthers series.
