The Dallas Stars (42-27-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (44-21-8) 1-0 on Tuesday night in Dallas.
This game was scoreless for much of the game, as it was a matchup of the goalies. Scott Wedgewood got the start in net for Dallas and pitched a shutout, converting all 25 saves he faced. Andrei Vasilevskiy made some huge saves as the game progressed as well, finishing 28-for-29 in net.
It would be Roope Hintz coming through with the only goal of the game, scoring at the 15:10 mark of the third period. From there Dallas shut the Lightning out down the stretch to secure a 1-0 win.
The Lightning now return home for a five game homestand that begins on Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks. Puck drop on Thursday is scheduled for 7:00 PM - pregame coverage begins at 6:00 PM on News Radio WFLA.
