The Tampa Bay Lightning (43-20-7) fell to the Washington Capitals (38-22-10) 4-3 on Wednseday night in Washington, DC.
John Carlson's two power play goals were the difference for the Capitals - the first one gave Washington an early 2-0 lead. His second goal came in the second period and would prove to be the game winner as it lifted Washington to a 4-2 lead.
The Lightning return home for two games this weekend, which begins against the Boston Bruins on Friday night. Puck drop Friday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM - pregame coverage begins at 6:00 PM on News Radio WFLA.
