The Tampa Bay Lightning (37-14-6) fell to the Calgary Flames (35-15-7) 4-1 on Thursday night in Canada. It is the Lightning's second loss in a row as they continue a road trip through western Canada.
Johnny Gaudreau was the star for Calgary, coming up with a hat trick. The Flames took control of the game late in the second period - after Alex Killorn tied the game 1-1, the Flames scored two goals in the final minute of the period to take over.
Andrei Vasilevskiy went 28-for-32 in net in the losing effort. Jacob Markstrom was the winning goalie for the Flames, saving 30 of the 31 shots he faced.
The Lightning return to action on Saturday against the Oilers. Puck drop from Edmonton is scheduled for 10:00 PM - pregame coverage begins at 9:30 PM on News Radio WFLA.
