The Ottawa Senators (8-16-1) shut out the Tampa Bay Lightning (17-6-4) 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in Ottawa, Ontario. The loss snaps the Lightning's winning streak at five, and point streak at six.
After Josh Norris gave Ottawa a 1-0 lead in the first period, Brady Tkachuk took control of the game for the Senators. He had two goals in the second and a goal in the third to earn a hat trick and give Ottawa a 4-0 win.
Anton Forsberg saved all 25 shots against in the victory, while Brian Elliott took the loss, going 19-for-22 in net for Tampa Bay.
The Lightning now return home for the next two games, beginning against the Kings on Tuesday night. Puck drop from Amalie Arena Tuesday is scheduled for 7:00 PM - pregame coverage begins at 6:00 PM on News Radio WFLA.
