(via Tampa Bay Lightning Communications) The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forwards Gabriel Dumont and Charles Hudon, defensemen Darren Raddysh and Andrej Sustr, and goaltender Maxime Lagace to one-year, two-way contracts, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced.
Dumont, 30, has skated in 90 career NHL games over seven seasons, notching four goals and nine points. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound forward played in 46 games with the Lightning over two seasons, posting two goals and four points. He set career highs with the Lightning during the 2016-17 season for games played (39), goals (two) and points (four). The Degelis, Quebec native has also skated in 554 career AHL games, registering 137 goals and 323 points. Dumont served as captain of the Syracuse Crunch during the 2018-19 season and recorded 15 goals and 43 points that season. Last season he played for the Iowa Wild, tallying 12 goals and 31 points in 34 games.
Hudon, 27, has played in 125 career NHL games, all with Montreal over five seasons, posting 14 goals and 41 points to go along with 56 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound forward set NHL career highs during the 2017-18 season for goals (10), assists (20) and points (30). The Alma, Quebec native skated in 33 games last season for Lausanne HC in the Swiss Hockey League, posting 15 goals and 32 points. Hudon has also appeared in 253 career AHL games, recording 102 goals and 197 points. During the 2019-20 season, Hudon led Laval and ranked tied for fifth in the AHL for goals with 27.
Lagace, 28, has appeared in 18 career NHL games over three seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights and Pittsburgh Penguins, earning a record of 7-8-1 to go along with a 3.69 goals-against average and .876 save percentage. The Saint-Augustin, Quebec native made one appearance last season for Pittsburgh and registered a 29 save shutout against Buffalo on May 8. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound goaltender has also played in 167 career AHL games over seven seasons, compiling a record of 86-47-27 to go along with a 2.76 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
Raddysh, 25, skated in 24 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack last season, posting two goals and 15 points to go along with 12 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 201-pound defenseman has appeared in 228 career AHL games over four seasons, collecting 22 goals and 95 points to go along with 107 penalty minutes. He set AHL career highs in 2019-20 for assists (22) and points (28). Raddysh was an assistant captain for the Wolf Pack last season and is the brother of Lightning forward Taylor Raddysh
Sustr, 30, skated in 41 games last season for Kunlun Red Star in the KHL, recording five assists and 18 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-7, 217-pound defenseman also represented the Czech Republic at the 2021 World Championships, appearing in six games and recording one assist. The Plzen, Czech Republic native has skated in 323 career NHL games with the Lightning and Anaheim Ducks over seven seasons, collecting 10 goals and 63 points to go along with 147 penalty minutes. Sustr played in 318 career games with the Bolts and registered his best season in Tampa Bay during the 2015-16 campaign, posting four goals and 17 assists.
