(via Tampa Bay Lightning Communications) - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Brian Elliott to a one-year contract worth $900,000 AAV, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced.

Elliott, 36, has appeared in 502 career NHL games over 14 seasons, compiling a record of 256-155-49 to go along with a 2.53 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. The Newmarket, Ontario native played in 30 games last season for the Philadelphia Flyers and posted 15 wins in 26 starts which includes two shutouts. He posted a pair of three-game winning streaks last season with the Flyers.

The 6-foot-2, 209-pound goaltender is a two-time NHL All-Star (2015 & 2012) and won the Jennings Trophy (lowest goals-against average in the NHL) during the 2011-12 regular season while playing for the St. Louis Blues. Elliott also twice posted the best save percentage in the NHL while with the Blues during the 2011-12 and 2015-16 regular seasons.

Elliott was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round, 291st overall, at the 2003 NHL Draft.
