The Tampa Bay Lightning (36-14-3) defeated the Dallas Stars (21-18-14)
Six different players scored for the LIghtning, and they got the scoring started with a goal from Tyler Johnson in the first. Though Tyler Seguin tied it in the first, the Lightning began to take control in the second period with goals from Alex Killorn and Brayden Point. In the third period Andrej Sekera scored to pull within 3-2, but Erik Cernak scored under a minute later. From there the Lightning got two empty net goals - from Ross Colton and MIkhail Sergachev - to secure the 6-2 win.
Andrei Vasilevsky got the win in net, making 20 saves on 22 shots on goal.
The Lightning and Stars are back on the ice on Friday night in the final home game of the regular season. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 PM Friday night - pregame coverage begins at 6 PM on News Radio WFLA.
