We think it's safe to say there's no love lost between Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Islanders fans, though we have no idea why Lightning fans have reason to dislike the Islanders and their fans...
Having said that, at the new home of the Islanders, UBS Arena, on Wednesday night during AEW Dynamite, the great CM Punk is introduced and walks out in a John Tavares jersey!
Tavares, of course, was drafted by and spent the early part of his career with the Islanders and left the team high and dry, spurning the team's lucrative offer for one with his hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The talented center is now overshadowed by his teammates Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, though he has put up respectable numbers for the Leafs. Just maybe not enough to justify his $11 million annual salary.
By the way, Punk won his match against John Silver.
