Community Benefactor and Restaurateur Needs Help After Devastating Stroke

A local restaurateur who always gives to her community is in need of a very big gift to help in her recovery from a devastating stroke.

From the family's GoFundMe page:

"We are sad to announce our Dear Janise, local Caribbean restaurant owner/chef has suffered a stroke.

"The stroke has quickly progressed to a lack of motor function, leading to Paralysis on her entire left side. Janise is presently receiving rehab but it is critical for her recovery that she receives an more intense course of rehab. The very first three months of a CVA/Stroke are crucial to a full healthy recovery. Janise previously had a horrible accident prior to the stroke which is causing more complications for her recovery.

"Her road to recovery will be an extensive process, requiring a more aggressively rigorous form of rehabilitation. If anyone can persevere through this surprising twist of a health challenge, it's Janise. To ease some of the burden due to limited medical coverage, we are asking for your support to come together to help her with transition to a better A+ facility.

"From feeding the homeless, to organizing catering events for local Tampa Bay sports teams or even donating food to the Straz Center, Janise has always been the kind of person to give the shirt off her back to help a stranger in need. She has always been a caretaker for others and has used her Restaurant “Yah Mon Tampa” as a vehicle for helping her community.

"We are hoping for her community to help her out during this tremendously difficult time. We truly appreciate all the love and support everyone has poured into her this far. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers."

Thank you all for anything you can provide to help!
