All of Us at WDAE Send Positive Vibes to USF Softball's Alexis Buchman

Back in September we told you the story of Alexis Buchman, a USF sophomore and softball player who suddenly had to undergo surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Alexis' story has now taken a turn for the worse, as she recently was diagnosed with brain cancer.

The Alonso High School alum is now undergoing chemotherapy treatments to fight the disease.

The story highlighted in the tweet above goes more into detail behind Alexis' fight, but to quote her from the article: "I want to thank everyone for the kindness and support I have received, not just from USF Athletics and the softball team, but from all of USF's teams and Bulls Nation as a whole," Buchman said. "All of the generosity is helping me stay positive and confident during this fight. I'm up for the challenge and I know that I have an amazing support system behind me to help me overcome this ordeal."

There is still a gofundme set up to help Alexis' family with the mounting bills that are coming their way. Please contribute in any way you can.
