This Instagram video comes from something called the Balloon World Cup, an event organized by Barcelona soccer star (and Shakira's partner) Gerard Pique, after watching a Tik-Tok video of some American children playing the game during the Covid lockdown in 2020.
What is the game, you ask?
We've all played it before: hit the balloon before it touches the floor!!
This competition brought together players from 32 nations. Two players faced off on an 8 meter-by-8 meter court with obstacles placed in the way, such as living room furniture, and even a car!
This inaugural tournament was won by Peru's Francesco de la Cruz, winning the final over Germany's Jan Spiess.
