On Thursday night at Raymond James Stadium, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the 2021 NFL season. And if you look at the matchups on the field, the Buccaneers are a preseason favorite to finish among the top 10 in both offense and defense, while the Cowboys ... well, their defense needs a lot of work.
However, off the field, the Cowboys have the Buccaneers beat, and then some.
In the latest Sportico NFL team valuation ranking, the Cowboys have taken the overall top spot from the New York Yankees, with a valuation of almost $7 billion ($6.92 billion to be exact), which makes them worth about two and a half times more than the Buccaneers, who are valued at 2.8 billion, making them 25th in the league.
Rounding out the top five NFL teams are the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers; you can check the top-10 valuations in the tweet below.
