JOHNSTON: Jeff Scott's Recruiting Is Improving Talent Level at USF

Joey Johnston, the man roaming the sidelines on WDAE's USF coverage, joins Beckles and Recher from Raleigh as the Bulls hit the road for their season opener Thursday night against the NC State Wolfpack. Joey would like to see some progress for this season, and thinks that four or five wins against the tough schedule they have would be progress, as coach Jeff Scott defines it, and six wins would be a successful season with a conference championship the overall goal. While Cade Fortin is the starting QB for the Bulls, while we will see the talented freshman Timmy McClain take some snaps in special packages. As always in football, continuity and health on the offensive line is the most important key to this team's success.
