The sister of WDAE's Jay Recher, Emily, has put together a GoFundMe for Johnny, a 73-year-old Vietnam veteran, and his sister Maria.
They have been homeless for many years and have not had much luck with shelters or any local services.
Emily was able to get them a hotel room for a little while due to all of the amazing contributions so far, but unfortunately, this is not a long-term solution. Emily has been in contact with many people to try to find them permanent housing.
