We Can Do This!! Let's Get Some Rays to the All-Star Game!

Phase I of baseball's All-Star Game balloting ends on Thursday, and many of our Tampa Bay Rays have a long hill to climb in order to be considered for Phase II.

Currently, the highest vote-getter on the team is Randy Arozarena, who is now out of the top nine outfielders to be considered for Phase II voting. He is 10th with 358,742 votes, about 8,000 votes behind Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins for 9th place.

The top-three vote-getters at every other position except pitcher move on to Phase II of voting, which takes place from June 28th - July 1st. Phase II voting will determine each league's starters.

Catcher Mike Zunino still holds second place among Rays vote-getters with 153,087 votes, but he sits eighth among catchers.

Following Zunino for the Rays is first baseman Ji-Man Choi, with 122,532 votes, which puts him seventh among American league first basemen.

Joey Wendle and Brandon Lowe sit at eighth place for shortstops and second basemen, respectively, and Austin Meadows rounds out Rays players among the top 10, currently ninth at designated hitter.

Once again, voting for Phase I ends on Thursday, so come on Rays fans! Let's get our guys headed to Denver for this year's All-Star game!
