Tampa Bay Lightning to Hire "Fan On Demand" for Stanley Cup Playoff Game

In what surely might be one of the more intriguing "job" postings we've seen, the Tampa Bay Lightning are looking for a "Fan on Demand" to help "Bring the Thunder" for a 2021 Stanley Cup Playoff game.

The Fan on Demand will get complimentary tickets for at least one home playoff game, serving as a physical proxy for Bolts fans at home and abroad by executing social media requests including cheering, booing, screaming, celebrating, dancing, shouting, glass pounding and anything else it might take to bring the thunder to the game, within reason.

This "employee" also will get to be part of other experiences around the arena, such as lighting the Tesla coil, sounding the goal horn, playing the pipe organ, and possibly more! All actions are to be filmed for Lightning social media content.

Applications will be accepted through 10 a.m. on Monday, May 17.

To qualify, you must be 18 years of age, and have at least a year of being a Bolts fan. You must have an outgoing personality and understand the importance of the playoffs. Bring excellent people skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, taking on tasks at all levels of Amalie Arena as part of a team. The schedule is flexible, based on the dates and times of the home playoff games. And lastly, representing the Lightning and the Thunder enthusiastically and respectfully.

Applications must include a 30-60-second video showcasing what would make you the perfect Fan on Demand; for example, your history with the team, perhaps showcasing a lucky piece of memorabilia, or even making some noise! In order to be considered, you must participate in a virtual interview and go through a background check.
