Beckles & Recher welcome Tampa Bay Rays special assistant for baseball operations Denard Span to Thursday's show! The boys talk a little baseball, including topics such as how he's been enjoying retirement, and thoughts on Albert Pujols after he was DFAd on Thursday.
Then they get down to the real reason Denard is joining us: The Denard Span Foundation is announcing its Summer Kick Off Fundraiser! There are incentives and giveaway opportunities for listeners who support the foundation every month when Denard joins the Beckles & Recher Show! For this month, participants are being entered into a raffle for Rays tickets and a Denard Span Foundation T-shirt! For the month of May, the Punit Shah Family Foundation is matching donations dollar-for-dollar up to $2,500 so the Denard Span Foundation can reach its goal of $5,000 for the month! Denard even announced on the program that he also will match dollar-for-dollar up to $2,500 for a May goal of $7,500!
All proceeds support single-parent families in the community across the Foundation's transportation, grocery and education programs!
