Please Come Out to Help 8-Year-Old Kobe on Saturday, Tampa Bay!!

On Friday's Beckles & Recher show, Meme Price will join us at 4:45 p.m.

Meme is the mother of 8-year-old Kobe of Punta Gorda, pictured above.

Kobe was diagnosed with Leukemia on August 10, 2020. He went through three surgeries the day he was diagnosed, and spent a full month in the hospital following those surgeries.

Come Thanksgiving 2020, he suffered fevers for two weeks and doctors later discovered fungus in his lungs.

Many of the treatments given to Kobe, such as chemotherapy, have not been working for him, and doctors say his last resource is either a stem-cell or bone-marrow transplant. While Kobe is in good spirits, he is in desperate need of help to survive.

Kobe's family is arranging a donor drive at Canal Park in Oldsmar between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 44, you can qualify as a donor; all you need to do is fill out a questionnaire, and have a cheek swab sample taken! That's it!!

Or text KOBE to 61474 to join the Be the Match registry, and save Kobe's or perhaps someone else's life.

No child should have to suffer through any sort of deadly disease, and we hope there is someone out there who can help make Kobe's wish of having a normal life come through.
