Judging from the comments of Tampa Bay Lightning GM Julien Brisebois and former Captain Steven Stamkos, it seems as though Stamkos wanted to stay but JBB didn't have a plan to make it happen. Zac Blobner dived into the comments and explained why the organization is going to have a tough time convincing the fan base that this is all ok.
