SLAMFEST Car & Truck Show – SATURDAY & SUNDAY – 9am – Florida State Fairgrounds – 30 th

Anniversary! Since 1992 Mini Madness has been the host club that puts on one of the biggest yearly

shows in the Southeast knows as SLAMFEST!


Super GREEK Festival – ALL Weekend - St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church (St. Pete) - The three day

indoor/outdoor celebration of everything Greek includes fresh made Greek food, DJ dancing in an

outdoor party tent, a 7,500-square-foot taverna, youth dance groups, language lessons, beer and wine.

Avenue Q – FINAL WEEKEND - Straz Center for the Performing Arts – (Friday-Sunday) - The laugh-out-

loud musical – featuring actors & puppets – tells the story of a recent college grad named Princeton,

who moves into a shabby New York apartment on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the

residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood, which is a racy, adults-only

cross between South Park & Sesame Street

Straz Center Block Party – SUNDAY – 3pm-6pm (Weather permitting) – Kick-off the blockbuster 2022-

2023 season with a FREE celebration of the arts in Tampa Bay. Expect live music, dance, circus, visual art,

local artisans, food, libations and more. Plaza Stage - Enjoy Tampa’s vibrant music scene with high-

energy acts, performing music ranging from folk and soul to Rock ’n’ Roll (3-3:45 p.m. – Ari Chi, 4-4:45

p.m. – Roxx Revolt & The Velvets, 5-6 p.m. – Jinx & Shelby Sol) Riverwalk Stage - Opera Tampa kicks off

the party before the area’s best musical theater performers and drag queens take over to usher in a new

Dolphintopia – Now thru December – Clearwater Marine Aquarium - Dolphintopia is a multi-faceted

immersive exhibition which explores the fascinating science of dolphins and heir intimate connection

with humans. The collection includes dolphin art displays, activities, interactive exhibits and colorful

photo opportunities.

Creatures of the Night – (All Weekends in October) – Zoo Tampa - Ghouls and goblins of all ages can join

mischievous characters for a night of Halloween adventures with animals, spooky frights and treats! for details

First Friday DTSP – TONIGHT – 5:30pm - Traffic will be shut down on Central Avenue between Second

and Third streets for this block party. There will be live music and donations will be collected for the

charity Lifting Hearts 2gether, a nonprofit that provides assistance for the medically needy, especially

St. South, St. Petersburg, FL) – FREE EVENT! Come and enjoy crafts, hayrides, unique shops, a pumpkin

St. Pete Pier Fall Festival – SATURDAY & SUNDAY – Spa Beach Park - Celebrate the beginning of fall with

Viva Tampa Bay – SUNDAY – 11:00am - Perry Harvey Sr. Park (Downtown Tampa) - This annual event

offers a unique opportunity to enjoy Latin foods and local band performances. There will be dance

shows and a recognition of the most influential local Hispanic leaders who will be receiving the ViVa

Tampa Bay Heritage Community Heroes Award.
