Atlanta Braves pitchers Tyler Matzek and Josh Tomlin say their former teammate, Joc Pederson, avoided Tommy Pham at all costs during their three-game road trip in San Diego last season, hiding in the clubhouse and skipping out on batting practice before each game vs. the Padres so that he could avoid Tommy Pham. A year later, Pham slaps Pederson and it became known as the slap heard round the league.
