First reported by NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski has decided to retire from the NFL.

Gronkowski was very effective for Tampa Bay last year, catching 55 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games for the team. He had nine receptions for 116 yards and a score in the team’s two playoff games.

Gronkowski previously retired after the 2018 season and returned with he Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2020 season. Gronkowski is a four-time Super Bowl champion and four-time First-team All-Pro as one of the NFL's greatest tight ends in history
