Sure, the Tampa Bay Lightning lost their home opener Tuesday night. Honestly, who cares!? The reality is that loss is irrelevant, and before the game the team raised their championship banner, but even more importantly, we all got to witness the great Sonya Bryson-Kirksey sing our National Anthem!
As you likely know, the Air Force veteran who graces us all with her beautiful voice at most Bolts game almost lost her life to COVID-19 earlier this year, facing a long stay in a hospital while her family, friends and fans prayed for her health. The results of Tuesday night's game couldn't matter much less when you think about the special moments before the game.
