According to reports, the Tampa Bay Rays are saying goodbye to free agent starting pitcher Charlie Morton as the right handed ace has signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Braves.
The Tampa Bay Rays recently declined Morton’s $15 million option for 2021, making him a free agent, although Rays General Manager Erik Neander hinted the club would be interested in bringing him back on a lesser deal. Morton posted a 3.33 ERA over 232.2 innings with Tampa Bay.
