The Florida State Seminoles (2-6, 1-6) fell to North Carolina State (5-3, 5-3) 38-22 on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolf Pack built a 14-0 lead before the Seminoles kicked a field goal to get on the board. NC State scored again before halftime to make it 21-3 at the break, before adding two more touchdowns in the third quarter to take control of the game.
Chubba Purdy went 15-for-23 with 181 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions at quarterback for Florida State, while Bailey Hockman went 24-for-34 with 265 yards passing, three touchdowns and one interception playing quarterback for the Wolf Pack.
The Seminoles return to action next weekend when they host number four Clemson next Saturday - kickoff from Tallahassee is scheduled for high noon.
