The University of Florida announced today that the Gators football game this Saturday against LSU has been postponed due to positive tests and subsequent quarantine of individuals within the Florida Gators football program.
According to University of Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin, there were a significant number of cases of positivity which forced the postponement of the game. The Gators' AD said 18 positive tests were scholarship players, including three walk-on players totaling 21 cases which would have left less than 50 scholarship players available for Saturday's game. Stricklin also noted all the positive tests including some members of the coaching staff are asymptomatic and only experiencing mild symptoms. All football activities at the University of Florida has bee suspended till further notice.
