Florida State Falls To Notre Dame 42-26

The Florida State Seminoles (1-3, 0-3) fell to #5 Notre Dame (3-0, 2-0) 42-26 on Saturday night in South Bend, Indiana.

Though Florida State was able to build a 17-14 first quarter lead, the Irish took control in the second quarter with three touchdowns that would send them into halftime with a 35-20 lead. In the third each team traded touchdowns as the Irish secured the 42-26 win.

Jordan Travis went 13-for-24 with 204 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception, while Notre Dame was led by Ian Book went 16-for-25 with 201 yards and two touchdowns passing for Notre Dame. Jordan Travis also set the pace on the ground for Florida State, running for 96 yards. The Irish dominated the run game, though, outrushing Florida State 353-153. Kyren Williams set the pace for Notre Dame with 185 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while Chris Tyree added 103 yards and a touchdown to the ground assault for the Irish.

The Seminoles are back in action in Tallahassee next Saturday when they host #8 North Carolina - kickoff in that game is scheduled for 7 PM.
