Kevin Cash Fired Up After Yankees Intentionally Throw At His Players

Tuesday's 5-3 loss may have a more far-reaching effect that the New York yankees may have expected.

Manager Kevin Cash called out the New York Yankees coaches and pitching staff for intentionally throwing at his players, with Joey Wendle being hit by a Masahiro Tanaka pitch in the ribs in the first inning, and Aroldis Chapman throwing up and in to Wendle, Austin Meadows, and Mike Brosseau, with the latter getting a 101 MPH fastball that nearly hit him in the head.

Nine batters have been by a pitch in the nine games this season between the Rays and Yankees. Six of them are Rays batters, with Wendle having been hit three times: by Tanaka on Tuesday, by Gerrit Cole on Monday, and by Albert Abreu on August 8.
