I won't lie to you. Today is a day that I'd rather be talking about the game of baseball. However, I also always argue that protest is rarely effective when done in a sanitized way. The Rays know this and are putting it to the test today, using the platform of Opening Day to discuss social injustice. The Rays obviously know this is going to get some criticism and anger some of their fans, but like so many around them are taking the stance that it's finally time to address some of our issues as a country whether everybody likes it or not.
