With the Lightning starting their training camp at Amalie Arena without captain Steven Stamkos, who suffered another lower-body injury during phase 2 practices, NHL.com's Corey Long feels the durability of Tampa Bay's on-ice leader has to be a concern.
"The guy's been in the league for 12 years, [and] he's had a couple of major injuries in that time," Long told Pat and Aaron Tuesday. "Pound-for-pound, he's about as tough as they come, but 12 years in the league, playing on a number one line getting a lot of physicality thrown at you is still 12 years in the league. He's 60 percent of the way to being a 20-year veteran."
Corey also broke down the feeling players had getting on the ice for phase 3 practices, and whether off-ice concerns will affect the play on the ice.
