You know we're not huge of the Boston Red Sox around here, and we're certainly not fans of giving the Sox credit for anything, but you have to respect their ability to acknowledge that racism has been an issue at Fenway Park instead of deflecting or ignoring the issue. Read their statement here.
Also, in the spirit of not giving the Red Sox too much credit, I think it's important to recognize that this statement would have come across as a lot more genuine if they had released it years ago when Adam Jones made the same claims that Tori Hunter just made instead of in the middle of a national uproar!
