MLB Wife Criticizes League For Playing Spring Games At Start Of Pandemic

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, sports were still being played, including Spring Training baseball, and the wife of one player feels that decision helped spread the coronavirus throughout a large part of the country.

Eireann Dolan, wife of Nationals reliever Sean Doolittle, was interviewed by HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and says she took to social media to tell people to stay away despite the negative look she knew she would get in the short-term.

HBO then used cell phone signal to show how the 8,000 people that still went to West Palm beach have spread through the eastern half of the United States.

The full episode of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel premieres tonight at 10:00 on HBO.
