The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the 2019 season with a 7-9 record and a third-place in the NFC South division due to a disappointing 28-22 overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams finished 7-9, but the Falcons had a better record in the division (4-2) than the Bucs (2-4), and that gave Atlanta the edge in the division standings.
As a result of Tampa Bay’s third-place finish in the NFC South, the Bucs will play the following teams from the AFC West and NFC North in 2020 in addition to a couple of third-place teams in the other NFC divisions.
Among the highlights of the upcoming 2020 schedule for the Buccaneers include hosting three of the league’s best quarterbacks in Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahommes and Jared Goff, as well as a first-time trip to Las Vegas to play the Raiders and former head coach Jon Gruden. Actual dates and kickoff times will be announced by the league in April prior to the 2020 NFL Draft.
