Buccaneers' Jameis Winston Breaks Franchise And NFL Record

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston reached a milestone during his four touchdown performance in the Bucs’ 38-17 win over the Detroit Lions. Winston broke the Bucs’ franchise single season touchdown passing record when he threw his 29th touchdown of the year to Breshad Perriman. Winston added another touchdown to Perriman that increased his record to 30.

Winston also became the first NFL quarterback in history to throw for back-to-back 450 yard games.

Winston’s 30 touchdowns surpasses his own previous franchise record of 28 from 2016, which was Winston’s second NFL season. Winston ended the game completing 28 passes on 42 attempts for 458 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. The 458 passing yards was also a career high, surpassing his career high of 456 that he accomplished just one week ago. All of this was done as Winston was dealing with a thumb injury during the week.
