REPORT Clemson Co-Offensive Coordinator Expected To Be Named USF Head Coach

According to a report by Sports Illustrated's Clemson insider Zach Lentz, the USF Bulls could be on the verge of naming Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott the new head coach of the USF football program following Charlie Strong's departure after three seasons in Tampa Bay.

Scott has was named one of the top-25 recruiters in the nation and ACC Recruiter of the Year in 2015 by Rivals with this players helping Clemson produce the fifth 4,000-yard passing season in school history in 2018. Scott was a finalist for the 2018 Broyles Award as one of the top assistant coaches in the nation, as well as named one of the top-25 recruiters in the nation by Rivals and as ACC Recruiter of the Year by 247Sports in 2018.

A meeting is reportedly schedule with the USF football team at 10am on Monday, with official word coming thereafter barring a last minute change.
