The Florida State Seminoles (6-5) knocked off Alabama State (5-5) 49-12 on Saturday afternoon to secure bowl eligibility for the second time in three seasons.
The Seminoles, under the direction of interim head coach Odell Haggins, won for the second week in a row since Willie Taggart's firing. For Haggins, he is now 4-0 as interim head coach, as he also held the role when Jimbo Fisher departed for Texas A&M at the end of the 2017 season.
Florida State quarterback James Blackman tossed a 69-yard touchdown pass to Tamorrion Terry and a 39-yard touchdown pass to Tre'Shaun Harrison as the Seminoles racked up 525 yards on offense. The redshirt sophomore had 246 passing yards pass on the game, while the rushing game was also successful as they accumulated 208 rushing yards.
The Seminoles will close the regular season when they head to Gainesville to battle the Florida Gators on November 30th.
