The Bucs ended a four-game losing streak with a come-from-behind 30-27 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, putting them at 3-6 on the season.
Below is our weekly list of Most Impressive players from the game on Sunday. Take a look and see if you agree and add your thoughts in the comments section below.
CB Jamel Dean
If you look up the phrase “bounce back game’ you will see a picture of Jamel Dean with a big grin on his face and a game ball after Sunday’s win over the Cardinals. Dean, who was burned for three scores last week at Seattle, played like a veteran for the most part of Sunday, notching four more pass breakups and a huge interception in the fourth quarter on the Bucs eight yard line with Arizona poised to put the game away.
Dean now has eight pass breakups in the last two games plus the before mentioned interception, and added two tackles including one for loss.
LB Lavonte David
Steady, dependable and as fundamentally sound as any linebacker in the NFL, Lavonte David is the best kept secret in the league. And it is a shame he has played on so many bad Bucs’ teams over the years and will probably never get the due he deserves.
On Sunday the veteran captain led the team in tackles with eight, but his knack for stripping the ball was big to help turn momentum in the Bucs favor. Not only did David force it, but he also recovered the ball with Arizona inside the Bucs red zone.
