When It Comes To Bucs Running Game Check Your Ego At The Door

One day after his top two running backs carried the ball for 31 rushing yards during the first team's opening drive of the preseason, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians met with the media. And although his team returned home from Pittsburgh with a two point loss, Arians saw some positives from his football team including the play of running backs Peyton Barber & Ronald Jones II. Both running backs had strong runs & a catch during the team's opening drive against the Steelers, which ended with a 9 yard screen pass for a touchdown by quarterback Jameis Winston to wide receiver Chris Godwin.

During the time with the media, Arians was asked about his top two running backs & the possibility of playing games where Jones would get more touches than Barber, the team's starter. And from the looks of the video below, the advice the head coach would give his running backs comes in six words, "Check their ego at the door."
