Bucs Running Back Jones Says Added Weight Helping in Year Two

Gaining a total of 44 yards & having a 1.9 yards per carry average is certainly not how Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II envisioned the start of his NFL career. But the disappointing rookie season hasn't seemed to affect Jones this year, as he familiarizes himself to a new coaching staff & new playbook. Throughout the early part of training camp, albeit against his own team's defense, Jones has shown flashes of why Head Coach Bruce Arians, in the video below, calls the running back "a heck of a player."

Jones met with the media on Monday following the team's training camp practice & discussed several topics including how his weight, currently over 220 pounds, has helped him be able to run more effectively between the tackles. And as you can see below, that seems to be the case.
