Bucs Head Coach Arians Calls Safety Mike Edwards A Ball-Hawk

Day three of Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp included more big plays by the defense. But none of the defensive players had a bigger day at practice than safety Mike Edwards. The rookie out of Kentucky had not one but two interceptions. The first, as you can see in the video below, seemed to be a miscommunication between quarterback Jameis Winston & his receiver.

Edwards' second interception was a pick six, thrown by quarterback Ryan Griffith, which led to a end-zone roller-coaster ride celebration by all the defensive backs. And although Bruce Arians stated in his interview with the media after practice that Griffith stared down the intended receiver, the Bucs head coach had high praise for Edwards, saying the rookie has great instincts & is a ball-hawk.
