Buccaneers Head Coach Arians Says Bucs Beat Bucs In Previous 5-11 Seasons

With the team's official first training camp practice of the 2019 season just one day away, Bucs Head Coach Bruce Arians spoke with the media on Thursday. Arians provided an injury update on the status of defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul & addressed the league suspension of defensive back Ryan Smith.

With Arians returning back to the sidelines after taking a year off for health reasons, the Bucs will have their third different head coach in the last five years. And because of that, those that make predictions for a living are not expecting a lot of wins from this season's team. But the first thing that Arians wants his football to do is block out the noise & just work. The next thing Arians stressed today was that the previous Bucs' teams, including the teams that finished 5-11 in each of the last two seasons, did things to beat themselves. Some of those things were addressed in the video below.

Over the past two seasons, the Bucs have 7 losses in each season by one possession. For the team to have its first winning season since 2016, Arians will look to rid the team of some of the mistakes in the last two years in critical moments of the game.
