It was the bottom of the tenth inning as the Norfolk Tides and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders were engaged in a barn burner last night. The Rail Riders trailed the Tides by one run, but put the tying run on second. A line-drive double over right fielder Anderson Feliz’s head looked to score the tying run which could have extended the game, but no one in the sparse hometown crowd had no idea how weird things were going to get. The only reasonable explanation is that Feliz had forgotten the score and was operating under the assumption that Katoh represented the winning run. It’s an unfortunate mistake, but at least one fan got to go home with a souvenir.
